chapter 1

Once there was a forest. A nice peaceful forest and in the forest lived a wolf , rabbit  & owl. They all lived with their families they were very happy before.the bear came. Everyone started to notice that the branches  starting to fall off trees. Everyone started to get grumpy at each other because they think it was them.

chapter 2

Owl said that they will grow back tomorrow. They waited till tomorrow and the branches did not grow back. They all were very sad.but the next day was worse because whatever it was it started to cut down the tree’s. One by one everyone started to panic because they thought that they were going to lose their homes.

chapter 3

However the thing didn't cut down their homes they comprehend it was acceptable.

One night wolf was getting up for his midnight howl and he glimpsed the mysterious bear and followed it to his house and found out that he was shoplifting
em in the interest of making his own house for his precious family. So wolf went and told the others said we will go visit him tomorrow. The next day came and it was time to go to the bears house. They followed wolf to the bear’s house and knocked on the door. No One answered they knocked again bear said  hold on so they waited then slowly in a breath the door opened and there in front of them was the bear with a bright red hat on his head.

chapter 4

Soon after they asked why he was cutting down trees and branches.The bear answered well I am new to this wood so I didn’t know that the rest of the people.

Oh they all said but why are you cutting down the tree’s so were we used to live there was no workplaces and schools. so we saw this place on the map so I said I will go and build a house. To be continued

Cricket

On Saturday i played cricket with my team we play hard ball so we have to wear protective gear. Our team is called the Super Kings we are in the B grade so we are the almost the beat cricket team! We are vising Winchester last Saturday it was quiet a game i will tell you how it went. we started bating then it was my turn i watched 2 people get out but then i hit the ball in the air and they court it and i was out. Almost all of my blouse were on but they didn't hit the wickets.  but in the end we lost by one 2 balls to go.

2016 Band

This year i am in band. It is great because i am the drummer so i keep the beet and play. Drums look like this. Drums are really easy to play if you get a drum teacher like me. If you don't have a band at your school you should ask if you can or just make one up with your friends. You don't have to play drums or sing or play the guitar you can make your own instrument and play it like these straws. Remember to keep the beet!!

Obsidian is formed by molt and lava set in a weird shape.

The Two Brothers

 Two brothers

Just  imagine that on earth there was no humans and instead monkeys. So there were monkey shop owners and monkey builders and so on. There were two brothers that wanted to play the piano. Their names were Jake and Costa. First up was jake he started playing I sat next to him and started watching.

Then Costa wanted to have a go so he did it for the first time it was short but the teacher moved he did it again this time the teacher came and smacked him on the head.

She smacked him again and again then costa left they looked at each other then costa left.then the teacher said try this one he started. He was good at the piano. Costa went to work at a theater as a janter. Then he saw a piano on the middle of the stage. So he started getting his hands 1,2,3,4 he chatted then he started playing. Then for the first time in 15 years he saw the teacher and his brother.

Then the teacher said to costa move out of the way. So he did and went passed his brother and walk passed to the other janter. Which was a grala he smiled and took him behind the curtain and costa told the grala to start cleaning back so he did it to. He found a grand piano he took the cover off then started playing and his brother. So the teacher got angry but jake started playing then his friend grala opened the citin and she saw who was playing the piano. So she went over to smack him but they changed again and again so she left and they lived happy ever after.  

HAAST EAGLE RESEARCH

  HAAST’S EAGLE  RESEARCH

CHAPTER 1

Haast eagle lived mainly in the South Island.Scientists thought that it feed on moa. And that’s part of why moa died out.

Haast's eagle wingspan is 3m.

It was the biggest eagle in the world. It was only found in our own NZ. This big man eating eagle eats Meat and mostly feeds on moa. The maori feared this because it killed hundreds of them each year. They were running out of food and moa! The haast’s eagle died out because moa got extinct and maori killing it.

Haast eagle is a fearsome predator and will hunt anything even us!! But it lived a long time ago.

 

Breakout EDU

This term 4 in Grill2.0 we are doing breakout. Breakout is when you are in a group and you try and open the box. To open the box you have to take off the locks to to take off the locks there are clues around to help you open them. you have to try to get the best time. It is very fun and you can get in to a group of 10 with your friends and in the box there lollies pops for when you are finished. It is great for learning together and growth mind set which means keep moving forward in learning.

My Hieroglyphic Narrative

Hay Read my Hieroglyphic Narrative about my name Its really good!

In a village called Pukaha in Pukaha there was a lovely family called the Broughans. They have a pet Quail chick named basket. He was named basket because he loved sitting and pulling apart baskets. One day the family went out for a walk on a track they like to call Stoney hill because there is lots of stones and hills.

The Broughans. like to keep fit so they go on this walk often. But this time the trees were waving. Tyler the oldest child tried to stop one of the little trees from moving with his arms but they wouldn’t stop. And there was no wind. They kept walking. When they were walking leafs were blowing off the trees and it was winter. One of the leafs blew into Tyler’s mouth.  He took it out.

When they got more closer to the end it got worse.  The stream that they walk by was splashing like rapids there was no big rocks. They carried on and when they got to the track where you can go left to the middle of the track because it is a loop track or go right round again. They went left to the middle. As they got near the middle all around them it got worse. The trees were moving like it was a typhoon.

The stream was running like raging rapids. When they got to the center of the commotion they found it was a lost stone pillar with lots of different carvings all over it. Tyler looked closer. There was a prophecy carved in the rock. He read it to his family. It said in 30 Minutes the whole world will break up and be destroyed. Whoever is reading is, the fate of the world is in your hands! Tyler said we have to destroy the the pillar. “We had better do it now!”  said jackson. “We only have 25minutes.”

We should drop it off the cliff into the lava pit. They quickly ran. Behind them the ground was cracking and the trees were falling the world was being destroyed. They got to the cliff. Tyler through the pillar but the rope tied to his arm was still attached and he fell. He held onto a root. Jackson tried to save Tyler but he fell to and grabbed on to the same root . Tyler said bad luck Jackson. He had an idea. He had a knife in his pocket. Jackson said don’t drop it. jackson said we're going to die. Tyler replied yes we’re going to die. You're going to die. I am going to die but just not today. The knife hit the pillar and broke the rope. The pillar dropped into the lava pit. They lived to tell the tale.

Do bees help us?

Bees are important part of our ecosystem and they do many things to help us.

Firstly bees help us by pollinating 70% of the fruit and veggies that we love to eat

Secondly bees also help us by making honey for us to eat. Honey is also is a good at healing cuts.

Thirdly they pollinate most of the flowers we love.

Bees are dying and why?

Bees are dying because they are being attacked by nasty parasites such as Varroa Destructor  a parasite that weakens the bee and acarapis woodi which lays its eggs in the in the air tubes of the bee which slowly suffocates to death.

Neonicotinoids

A spray which harms the bees by attacking the nervasystem and slowly kills them.

Do other things pollinate?

Some other things pollinate flowers veggies and fruit like Beetles , Bats and Ants.

Bees help us a lot of ways and we should help them back by planting flowers. The End
